About the role
A leading organisation is seeking a Senior Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to lead regional logistics strategy across road, rail, and waterways. This role focuses on cost optimisation, network performance, and strategic carrier partnerships while ensuring safety and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional logistics strategy
- Manage transport networks (road, rail, water) and carrier performance
- Lead sourcing strategy for inbound and outbound logistics
- Optimise cost, rates, and network efficiency (routes, backhaul, zones)
- Oversee logistics P&L, KPIs, and performance benchmarking
- Drive digital logistics tools and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and ensure safety compliance
- Mentor and lead logistics teams
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar
- 5+ years relevant experience (or 10+ years without degree)
- Strong experience in logistics strategy, sourcing, and network optimisation
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and data-driven decision making
- Leadership experience with strong stakeholder management skills
